saloon 151/station 142

I spent my first summer internship working for two bars in my hometown - Saloon 151 and the newly opened Station 142. I had spent time at Saloon 151 as a host, and was able to transition into a designer role for both locations.

I worked as a junior designer under the tutelage of Nick Vecchio, the head of both locations' social media presence. My job mostly involved creating graphics promoting local artists, developing short-notice per-request designs. However, I was also able to put photography skills to the test by working with the kitchen to take food photos promoting weekly food specials. It also involved video work, creating viral social media videos promoting the restaurant.

I was able to experience promoting real, functional businesses through social media and design work- it was a great summer experience to hone my skills.
