The goals of this project were to create a fashion magazine based around or promoting a movie, but with a twist. I chose the movie Ponyo, but focused on telling a story from a different, somewhat more melancholic perspective.













The Process



Inspired by the animated movie Ponyo, my fashion magazine intended to take a twist. While most of the movie consists of bright colors and positive themes, I was enamored with the calm, yet melancholy tone of the undersea scenes, usually including Ponyo’s parents. There was a sense of sadness depicted by cool colors and calm yet colorful scenery.  As part of the project, a different spin on the project was required.
